back from the strip joint
The chap entrusted to remove the three layers of paint took his time, but returned the scoot as naked as the day it was born (except for the rust holes). Now the welding and panel beating begins. Still a little undecided on colour, hmm.

It's coming along a lot quicker than mine, Drew.
Bad luck about the Byron Bay thing. I know what it's like to prefer to be cold, cramped and frustrated with skinned knuckles than out somewhere having a good time. Sad but true.
derek

So all that business about having already chosen a colour was just macho male posturing?

In that case I suggest:
Plum
Aubergine
Burnt Umber
Viridian

Dark green goes well. Orange (RAL 2000) also. Or a very fine silver, but then no chrome please...

And be carefull with the parts from Vietnam or Korea (where was it?) They are not the best...

I'll answer your mail soon, very busy at the moment..

Cheers,
Joern

late 60's bone white, I think they called it Hawthorn white. Will give you a clean retro/classical finish with some nice clean chrome...

Av u like died or summut, no blog for two weeks! still haven't decided color? personally I like the RUSTic look in the last pix - rumor is rust absorbs RADAR, (tru, saw it on mistbusters) handy for those rush trips |O|

Time isnt easy to find.. at times.

Rust retainment could be the way of the future, although a rush trip on this stallion could only end up with a fine if im gunning it across a school crossing in front of the old bill.
